The face has been designed with the help of Ai to maximise flex at impact. As well as the network of grooves, channels, and cavities on ZipCore XL’s longer clubs (4i–7i) to increase the COR (and ball speed), weight pads position mass low and deep, boosting MOl and optimising the Centre of Gravity for more forgiveness.

The MOI is raised creating incredible forgiveness by increasing the head size.

Because of the weight saving from ZipCore and the face, weight can be reallocated to the perimeter of the clubhead, upping the MOl for forgiveness. You will notice.

The large, cavity back profile also improves performance.

The focus in the 8i–SW lofts is accuracy.

The CoG is located closer to the heel giving you a more consistent launch, spin, and distance.

ZipCore replaces heavy steel in the hosel and heel with an extremely lightweight yet strong, vibration-dampening material. This sets the Centre of Gravity right where you strike the ball.

Coupled with the XL Head Design, ZipCore delivers high/low and heel/toe MOl for increased forgiveness, feel, and control.

Different clubs require different rates of spin. The ZipCore XL Irons feature HydraZip, along with loft-specific grooves to create the balance of performance that the club needs.

In 4i–7i lofts, HydraZip uses a rougher face blast, with wider, flatter grooves reducing unwanted spin so that you carry the ball as far as possible.

The 8i–SW lofts have a slightly smoother blast, but with thinner, deeper grooves to boost spin on approach.

The sole design also improves ball striking quality and consistency of contact.

The V sole reduces dragging on turf contact.

Finally, the actual quality of the swing you make is improved by a weight placed underneath your hands at the butt-end of the grip.

The feel of added weight in your hands helps the club seem lighter. It's easier to make a more stable, controlled backswing. It also helps you create a more inside swing path, to square the clubface through impact.
